Full payment is required at time of booking. We require 10 days notice for a cancellation or for rescheduling. Failing to provide 10 working days notice or to attend a booked class will mean you will not be issued a refund and are liable for any remaining course fees.
You must arrive on time to your course, if you are over 10 mins late your instructor may have to leave without you. If so, this day will be lost and it will not be rearranged free of charge.
about CBT training
What is CBT?
What happens on the day?
The five elements have to be completed in sequence, although the order of the exercises within the element can be varied. You will receive your CBT certificate at the end of element 'E' if your instructor is satisfied you have learnt the necessary theory and demonstrated the practical skills to a safe basic level.
Helmets and gloves are supplied free of charge. If you haven't got proper motorcycle clothing we advise you wear jeans or strong trousers, flat boots (remember you need to feel the controls with your feet on a geared bike), and wear a sturdy jacket.
What qualification do I get after the CBT course is completed ?
It is important that the holder of a DL196 considers the following points:
A DL196 certificate entitlement lasts for two years - CBT will have
to be retaken if both theory and practical tests are not passed within
the two year certificate life, no expiry reminders are issued.
Only instructors certified by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) can teach CBT at an approved training body (ATB). ATBs must have instructors who have successfully completed a two day assessment and have sites approved by DSA for off-road training. After completing your CBT, which normally takes a full day, you will then be able to ride a moped, scooter, or motorcycle up to 125cc (not exceeding 14.6bhp) on the road. Please note, you need to be 17 or over to ride a machine over 49cc. At 16 years of age you are limited to riding a moped (this will be 49cc or less, limited to 28mph and can be either automatic or geared) You will still be subject to learner restrictions, for example you cannot carry passengers and must display L plates front and rear (D plates in Wales). On successful completion of your CBT you can continue training on a 125cc motorcycle or scooter until you pass your test, or if you are 19 or over you can continue your training on a larger motorcycle.
