Passing your bike test via the direct access route will allow you to ride a motorcycle of any capacity and power output.

The minimum age for this test is 24 (21 if you have had a Cat A2 for 2 years). You must take the test on a machine of at least 595cc with a power output of at least 40kw (53.6bhp)

For full licence courses a deposit of £200 minimum will be taken at time of booking. The balance is due 10 working days before the first day of your course. We will assume you will be using the same payment card unless you advise us otherwise.
We require 10 days notice for a cancellation or for rescheduling. Failing to provide 10 working days notice or failure to attend a booked class will mean you will not be issued a refund and are liable for any remaining course fees.
You must arrive on time to your course, if you are over 10 mins late your instructor may have to leave without you. If so, this day will be lost and it will not be rearranged free of charge.

The minimum age for this category is 19. The test motorcycle must be at least 395cc with engine power between 25kw (33bhp) and 35kw (46.6bhp). Passing your test on this size of bike will allow you to ride a motorcycle of not more than 35kw (46.6bhp).

The minimum age for Cat A1 is 17. the motorcycle needs to be between 120cc and 125cc with power output not exceeding 11kw (14.6bhp) but capable of a speed of at least 90km/h (55mph). A test pass in this catagory will allow you to ride up to a 125cc motorcycle
